Originally a french jeweler with a " Beaux Art school " background , I immigrated to the US in 1986 and 15 years ago , as a hobby , did start restoring my own wooden boat . 3 years later , it became my main activity .

The break came in 2003 , when I was hired by the " Los Angeles Maritime Museum " as general finishing contractor for their
" Brigantine Youth Program ". This unique multi millions dollar, 4 year project, consisted in the building of two sisterships, 140 feet long, wooden replicas of the magnificent nineteen century " Brigantine " tallships. During this period, me and my crew performed all aspects of finishing operations including: interior/exterior preparation & painting, wood sealing, oil varnishing, fiberglassing, metals treatments, waterproofing, windows sealing and decking .............

During the past 10 years we have maintained and/or restored over 100 boats, on water or at our shop in Wilmington, California , including a 1950 Classic Chris Craft, a Chinese Junk, and more recent fiberglass & steel vessels.
Two years ago at friends & customers suggestion  we decided to apply our skills and technology to real estate properties. I went back to school to obtain my California Contractor License (C33 painting & decorating) and during this period successfully processed a dozen projects including small luxury stores to 8000sq + homes.

News of the month . August 2009 .

August 01 2009 , like every year it is " classic boat & car show " in Long Beach .

	And for sure " Baglietto " We will work on her this month .... More on this to come .

		August 01 2009 Hull need to be restored I bidded last week .... good summer job . will see !
And Kent ( see news of the month July ) is ready to GO .....................

We are almost mid august , many of us are in vacation . I am going fishing .....
Last week we catch nothing , i do not know if it is only an impression , but more and more
we catch nothing . It is not only a fisherman story , i have pictures of fishing days , 10 years
ago and there were fish ! Sea bass , mackerel , Bonita's , scalping's , halibuts .....
We use to fight for avoiding mackerels ...
( " maquereaux au vin blanc " ) are delicious .
Let me find the recipe , i will attach it .

For the ones not in vacation , it is the vue from the fishing boat !

August 25 It will be my week ........... waiting and moving Ramon up and down the mast . It is a Choy Lee . 2 wood masts bad condition . full stripping , epoxy primer ..... I have to be there !
